Particle Separation Using Ultracentrifugation

Particle Separation Using Ultracentrifugation

By manipulating centrifugal speed, medium viscosity, and medium density, centrifugation can accomplish some otherwise extremely challenging separations. Ultracentrifugation is used to deliver intense centrifugal forces, making it highly specialized in the separation of very small particles based on their density and size.

Ultracnetrifugation can be used to separate molecular samples (DNA, protein, etc.), viruses, and extracellular vesicles such as exosomes.
