Potentiometric (Auto-Titration)
An Auto‑Potentiometric Titrator is an advanced analytical instrument designed to determine the exact concentration of specific analytes automatically, by measuring electrical potential changes during titration. Unlike manual titration methods that rely on visual indicator, it delivers precise, repeatable, and high‑sensitivity results.
The device works by gradually adding a titrant to the sample while monitoring the electric potential between two electrodes (a reference electrode and an indicator electrode). As the titrant reacts with the analyte, the potential shifts sharply at the equivalence point. The instrument detects this inflection automatically and calculates the concentration of the analyte with high accuracy.
An auto‑potentiometric titrator can analyze a wide range of
materials and applications, including:
- Active
pharmaceutical ingredients (for potency and impurity levels)
- Acids
and bases in raw materials, intermediates, or finished goods
- Metal
ions using complexometric methods
- Environmental
water/wastewater for pollutants or ionic content
- Food
and beverage acidity or salt/alkali content
- Raw
materials and intermediates in chemical manufacturing
